Hearing Enhancement System
Hearing Enhancement System
Hearing loop systems (also called Induction Loop System, ILS) are often the most practical, cheapest and lowest maintenance solution for giving good quality access to the hearing impaired, and is therefore becoming the most widely used solution around the world.
Once installed, a loop works for years without any maintenance cost for the owner of the venue. And not to forget – the hearing aid wearers do not need to pay for any extra receiver – the receiver is already built-in in their hearing aid! They just switch their hearing aids to T-position and enjoy the sound. That is real freedom!
Here you’ll find different venues and situations where hearing loops are needed or can improve the service. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
What is a Hearing Enhancement Systems
Commonly also known as hearing loop system or Induction Loop System, the Hearing Enhancement System is a special type of sound system for people who use hearing aids. The system provides a magnetic wireless signal that is picked up by a hearing aid when it is set to the T-setting (telecoil). Most hearing aids are equipped with a telecoil.
Why Install a Hearing Enhancement System?
The system filters out unwanted background noise and can be used by any number of users at the same time. It enhances the hearing experience to the users by improving the clarity of the sound received. Typically, loop systems are found in meeting rooms, auditoriums, theatres, cinemas, places of worship such as churches and mosques and public service areas.
BCA Code of Accessibility 2013
The Code on Accessibility has been an important driver behind the observable improvements to the accessibility in Singapore. Our hearing enhancement systems are of the highest quality and reliability manufactured by Univox since 1965 and installed to meet the established standard of IEC 60118-4.
Univox IR System
Univox IR System is ideal for wireless, secure assistive listening in boardrooms, houses of worship, cinema theatres, courtrooms, elderly homes, auditoriums and class rooms etc. Univox infrared systems offer high quality audio with two mono channels or single channel stereo operation. The powerful transmitter features 72 IR-diodes for large coverage and high performance.
SLS-3: Class D Tech series: Loop driver for phased array systems
The super-efficient design has resulted in a very compact and light loop amplifier, compared to earlier amplifiers. At the same time they boost a higher capacity, perfectly adapted to modern SLS system design. The new SLS series is based on ground-breaking Class D Tech design, where multiple parallel amplifier stages create highest possible performance.
Thanks to advanced current, temperature and power protection the SLS-3/5 amplifiers are extremely durable, regardless of loop load – and even when short circuited!
SLS-5: Class D Tech series: Loop driver for phased array systems
Thanks to advanced current, temperature and power protection the SLS-3/5 amplifiers are extremely durable, regardless of loop load – and even when short circuited! When designing the new SLS-3 and SLS-5 we have changed the balance between available current and voltage. The Class D Technology combined with optimized construction for modern loop design, has resulted in strongly increased voltage capacity while keeping a high current capacity at real loads.
The first two drivers in the series, SLS-3 and SLS-5, are suitable for different room sizes and different metallic impact. Common for both models is that they can cope with higher impedances than earlier models. Read more about capacity and performance in the datasheet.
Autoloop 2.0 - Automatic Loop Amplifier With Personal Level Control
Univox AutoLoop 2.0 is an automatic and modern hearing loop amplifier for many purposes – domestic environments, waiting rooms, taxis/cars etc. It’s simple to set up and use without compromising its crystal clear and powerful sound to the hearing aid user.
Cross The Counter System
No more communication problems!
Univox CTC (Cross the Counter) is a complete induction loop system for installation in receptions, information desks, supermarket cashiers and ticket booths. When installed, the system grants for hearing aid users to communicate with the staff with high speech perception.
Portable Cross The Counter System
No installation, no set up, always ready to be used!
Providing versatile desktop induction loop assistance for hearing aid wearers, the portable induction loop is powered by a rechargeable battery and is always ready for immediate use if charged. No installation works are required.
Portable Loop System
Mobile accessibility!
Portable loop system should be of equal listening quality as a fixed installed loop system. The performance of the Univox P-Loop 2.0 matches that of any professional Univox loop amplifier in terms of field strength and sound quality. No matter if you use a portable or a fixed loop system, the expectations of its performance should be the same. It’s as simple as that.
